The N87 remains closed this morning following a serious traffic incident involving a e-scooter that occurred yesterday evening.
Two boys have been injured following the incident on the N87 near Black Ridge roundabout which occurred at approximately 7:15pm yesterday evening.
One of the boys was seriously injured and was airlifted to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin. Northern Sound understands this boy is 12 years of age.

The other boy, aged in his teens, was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
A technical examination of the scene is currently underway as Gardai confirm the incident involved an e-scooter.
The road remains closed and local diversions are in place.
