As the saying goes: "It takes a village to raise a child".

A County Cavan farming family are set to feature on the popular RTE programme 'Raised by the Village'.

The series returned to our TV screens in recent weeks following a 5 year hiatus. Adrian Morris a dairy farmer from Cootehill and is better known for his YouTube channel I Farm, We Farm opens his family home and farm for RTE One Show.

The programme features two urban families who need major help with a teenager veering-off-the-rails, and are taking drastic steps to get it. Bolshie 14 year old Limerick teen Sophia, is trading long-lashes and even longer lie-ins, for a phone-free-life of muddy toil, at the Morris Family Dairy Farm in Maudabawn. Faced with a Digital Detox and Mandatory Mucking-In, can the experience help motivate the tetchy teen to swap her "Can't do" Attitude, for a more positive "Will Try" approach in rural Co Cavan.

In the past, there was no internet, no parenting manuals and no behavioral psychologists. You relied on the village and their collective wisdom to figure out your parenting problems. As the saying goes: "It takes a village to raise a child", Adrian says it was wonderful experience for all the family to be involved in.
