A collection for children living in direct provision will take place in Clones this week. Clothing and toys will be collected and given to children

A collection for children living in direct provision will take place in Clones this week.

Clothing and toys will be collected and given to children living in the system in Monaghan and across the country.

Over 123 children are living in St Patrick's accommodation centre or emergency accommodation in Co Monaghan.

The collection will take place at St Joseph's Hall in Clones from 12noon to 5pm on Wednesday.

Organiser Daniel Freeman says the aim is to put smiles on children's' faces.
