The N3 road near the Applegreen between Cavan town and Lavey remains closed tonight after a road traffic collision involving a truck and a car occurred earlier.
Gardai and the emergency services are currently at the scene. Traffic is now being diverted via Stradone.
Gardai are asking motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible.
