Construction of the new primary care centre in Ballybay is due to commence this month. The news was revealed at a recent meeting of the HSE Regional Health Forum, which was attended by Monaghan Councillor, Seamus Coyle.

According to the response he received, the project has a start date of mid February 2023, with works continuing until the end of April next 2024. The services that will be provided are public health nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics and speech and language therapy.

There will also be bookable consultation room available within the centre that other services will be able to avail of. Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Coyle said the project will enhance the community of Ballybay as a whole.
