Contracts have been signed for the new fire station in Ballyjamesduff.
The €1.5 million project will be built at a site on the Rassan Road.
In one of her last official actions as Cathaoirleach yesterday, Councillor Sarah O'Reilly signed the contracts on behalf of Cavan County Council.

Local company Sandar Construction Ltd will build the two-bay station at Derrylurgan.
It follows the building of the new fire station in Virginia, which was completed in 2019.
Construction is to begin this summer and is expected to be complete by the end of next year.
