It’s hoped that more funding can be secured in the future to act upon the Oram Development Plan.
The development plan was launched last week outside of Oram's community centre, alongside a booklet outlining plans for the village which lies just outside of Castleblayney.

The village has already secured €25,000 in funding under the Town and Village Renewal Programme, as well as €50,000 under the CLÁR programme.
Aidan Campbell, Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD Chair, told Shannonside Northern Sound about his “wish list” for Oram, which includes a new memorial garden for Big Tom:
