Local councils in the region will now be able to process applications from businesses that were not accepted under the first Restart Grant Scheme.
A decision by the Department of Business to change in the closing date for receipt of applications under the original scheme meant many local businesses were unable to apply, but this decision aims to rectify that.
Cavan Monaghan TD Brendan Smith has welcomed the move, stating many small business were in the process of preparing applications before the deadline was changed which is unfair.
