A Roscommon couple say they're willing to go to jail rather than pay a €300 fine for breaking covid restrictions to attend mass.
Jim and Ann Ryan travelled 70km to attend Palm Sunday Mass in Co Cavan last year, which was in breach of the 5km travel limit in place at the time.
The couple were recently convicted of the offence at Cavan District Court, and say they will go to jail if they cannot get it overturned.
