734 new cases of the virus have been detected in Cavan over the last 14 days, with the highest incidence rate in the Ballyjamesduff LEA at 1,027.
Bailieborough-Cootehill has a rate of 974, while Cavan-Belturbet is lower still at 889 cases per 100,000 population.
Monaghan has some of the lowest levels of virus transmission over the past two weeks, with all local electoral areas holding at an incidence rate in and around 1,000.
The national Covid-19 incidence rate per 100,000 people currently stands at 1,355.
