'Daisy 200' challenge to pass through Co Cavan

Dedicated cyclists take on Daisy 200 challenge for children with cancer.

A team of 50 cyclists is set to travel more than 200 miles in a bid to raise funds for Cancer Fund for Children, a charity supporting children, young people, and families affected by cancer.

The three-day challenge, known as the 'Daisy 200', will take place from today.

Led by Eddie Marcus, Dougie Adams, and Sean McCabe, the group will begin at Daisy Lodge on the shores of Lough Corrib in Cong Co Mayo.

The route will then pass through Co Cavan before concluding in Newcastle, Down, home to the charity's first Daisy Lodge.
