Deal on NI Protocol must not be delayed says local TD

An agreed deal to break the deadlock in the Stormont impasse in the north must be concluded without delay by all sides according to a local deputy.

The call comes as pressure mounts on the British Prime Minister to resolve the issues with the Northern Ireland Protocol

Talks between Risi Sunak and the Vice President of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic will take place again this week as efforts continue to reach a deal. Cavan Monaghan TD Matt Carty says the DUP must show a willingness that they want to resolve the issues.
