The development will contain ten self-contained residential care units.

Planning permission has been granted for a sheltered and care accommodation village in Co Monaghan.

The works will see alterations and extensions made to vacant terraced housing on Teapot Row in Rockcorry, which is a protected structure.

Eight former mill workers cottages will be altered to allow for the development of ten self-contained residential care units.

The old mill building will also be converted into a primary care facility and community hub for the village residents.

The works have been granted subject to 24 conditions, which include the need "to ensure the integrity of this protected structure is maintained and that all works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice".
