The sight of a Double Decker bus across West Cavan has become a very welcome addition to the rural landscape of the region in recent weeks.
Bus owner Michael Leydon operates the bus route beginning in Swanlinbar and then travelling on to Bawnboy, Ballyconnell, Belturbet and the final destination being Cavan Town
The double decker rural link bus can bring up to 76 passengers at a time and according to the operator of the route, Michael Leydon the service is extremely popular in the area.
The route was launched in recent weeks and it all stems back to Margaret Brady from Bawnboy who campaigned for a bus service for the past 10 years for people living in the area.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show earlier today, owner of the popular bus, Michael Leydon says the bus originally was pink in colour and was resprayed prior to its launch earlier this month.
