€300k fund open to local community groups and SMEs

Cavan-Monaghan TD Niamh Smyth, has encouraged local community organisations and SMEs to apply to the new Community and Enterprise Grants Scheme under the EU Just Transition Fund.

Funding of up to €300,000 has been made available under the scheme for projects that meet the criteria of building on the strengths of the local area with applications being accepted until 22 February 2024.

The Fianna Fáil TD told Northern Sound "local organisations can play a key part in making effective changes in our communities and it is a goal to provide them the funding they need to make those changes."
