Eight of the 10 new Covid-19 cases announced in the Republic today are in Cavan and Monaghan.
A further eight people with Covid-19 have died and 10 new cases have also been confirmed by the Chief Medical Officer.
Cavan's total stands at 844, up by five since yesterday. Monaghan has seen three new cases with its total now 512.

The death toll in this country to 1,658 and there have now been 25,066 total confirmed cases.
