Eircom Ltd has applied to Cavan County Council to erect a 24m high tower at Abbey Street in Cavan town. The application also provides for antennas, dishes and associated telecommunications equipment.
Meanwhile, CLW Environmental Consultant has applied to the local authority for change of use of the existing ground floor of the three-storey Provincial House building at Farnham Street in Cavan. It plans to change the area from a cafe to a health therapy treatment facility.
Works will comprise internal modifications in layout and renovations including the upgrading of floors and ceilings at ground and first floor levels to provide fire protection. The planning application also highlights the fact that Provincial House is a protected structure.
