The community of Emyvale are asked to participate in the consultation on the undergrounding of their lighting system wires.
Councillor Brian McKenna has asked for residents, tidy town committee members, and the local development group to feed into the process to help guide the project and developments in the village.
The consultation process is taking place as part of the Village Renewal scheme with the 'unsightly wires' flagged as a key issue by members of the community prior to Covid.
A detailed plan for the undergrounding of the wires and the location of the lights is currently available for viewing online and Councillor McKenna says it's important anything that is decided is supported by local groups:
