The 'heat' will be taken out of point's race by doing the exams according to a local guidance counsellor.
Gerry O'Reilly from St. Macartan's College Monaghan says that students had been stressed due to the uncertainty around exams once again this year.
Despite many student representatives criticising today's announcement by the Minister to move forward with the traditional leaving cert, he says it was the best decision.
