Fine Gael TDs call for GP cards to be given to working people

Several Fine Gael TDs are calling for more GP cards and medical cards to be given to working people, due to the cost of living crisis.

The government will decide next week whether to bring the Budget forward from October to September.

Fianna Fáil held a special parliamentary party meeting on economy yesterday - with calls for big increases in social welfare and the state pension.

Fine Gael TD and former minister, Michael Ring, says the 'squeezed middle' also need to be looked after in the Budget.
