Fines issued for drivers speeding on the N3

The Cavan Roads Policing Unit conducted speed checks on the N3 last night.  As a result of the operation, a number of drivers were detected driving well in excess of the speed limit.

One driver was recorded travelling at 128 kilometres per hour, while another was recorded travelling at 127 kilometres per hour. According to local Gardaí, fixed payment notices were issued. Gardaí are also reiterating their advice for motorists to "slow down" in order to prevent serious injuries or fatalities.
