Fines issued over excessively worn tyres on Cavan roads

Last week Cavan Roads Policing Unit took part in the National Tyre Safety day assisted by members from the RSA.

Local Gardai encountered excessively worn tyres on the roads of Co. Cavan during those checks. Fixed Charged Penalty Notices were issued to all offences detected with penalty points and fines issued.

Gardai in the region are calling on motorists to check your tyres on a regular basis for depth and any other damage. A number of other offences were also detected including one drunk driver, one drug driver and a number of no insurance offences.
