A founding member of Carrickmacross Tidy Towns has died.
The group announced on Faceboook this afternoon that Chairman Francie Cassidy had passed away.
The group was founded back in 1985 and since then Francie remained enthusiastic about the Tidy Town ethos.

The online tribute commends his thirty- six years of leadership and dedicated service to the community in many Tidy Town projects.
