A fundraiser has been launched to bring a railway line back to Belturbet.
Belturbet Heritage Railway Station is hoping this tourism initiative will bring people into the town, and bring a train to the station for the first time in over 60 years.
The west Cavan town had an operating railway from 1885 to 1959, and a GoFundMe has now been set up to lay one kilometre of track at the station.

Tony Prior from the heritage group says it would take the attraction to new levels.
