A local councillor has described Cavan/Monaghan ETB reversing their decision to close St. Bricin's College and St. Mogue's College as a dark cloud being lifted from the area.
Cllr Brendan Fay said the confirmation yesterday from the ETB was great news for West Cavan. The independent Councillor said that idea of the closures were first muted in 2018 and was the main reason why he got into local politics.
Cllr Fay said enrolment has grown in both schools and the new accommodation under construction at both schools will enable the future growth of both St Mogue’s and St Bricin’s.

The Belturbet native says people power and strength in numbers that achieved the right result and sense has prevailed.
