The brawl happened as the players headed back to the tunnel at the end of normal time, and lasted around a minute.

An investigation into a brawl at Sunday's All Ireland Senior football Quarter final is set to be launched by the GAA.

An alleged eye gouging incident at the Galway - Armagh game is likely to be at the centre of the investigation.

The large melee at the Galway VS Armagh game, included players, subs, backroom staff and members of extended panels.

The brawl happened as the players headed back to the tunnel at the end of normal time, and lasted around a minute.

Galway player Damien Comer's eye was apparently gouged during the encounter by a member of the Armagh panel.

It will be among a number of other incidents set to be investigated by the GAAs Central Competitions Control Committee today.
