Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information into the circumstances behind a violent Christmas Eve assault in Co Cavan that left a man with serious injuries in hospital.
A man in his 40s was seriously assaulted after a row broke out involving a number of individuals outside a premises at Holborn Hill in Belturbet shortly after midnight.
Investigating Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward. They are also appealing to those with video footage of the incident to make it available to them.
