Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision that happened yesterday in Cavan.
The collision between a car and a motorbike happened on the R194 in Virginia at 6.40pm. The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was airlifted to the Mater Hospital, where his condition remains serious. The male driver of the car and the passenger were uninjured in the collision. A forensic examination of the scene has been carried out and the road has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who saw the incident or who may have dashcam footage to make contact with them and make it available.
