Funding for the reconstruction of the carriageway between the traffic lights at Dunnes Stores to the N/54 Castle Road junction in Monaghan Town has been secured from the 2022 TII funding allocation.
According to Monaghan County Council, design work for this scheme is "ongoing" with construction expected during the first quarter of this year. Works will be carried out to both the carriageway and the footpaths.
This will include raising the road and footpath levels.
