A local councillor says a greenway between Clones and Smithboro will be invaluable.
Local councillor Sinead Flynn, is the Cathaoirleach of the Ballybay-Clones Municipal District.
She said the project is at the design stage, aiming to bring new life to the historic canal route, which closed in the 1930s.

The greenway will offer a great space for walking, cycling, and recreation for both locals and visitors.
Speaking to Northern Sound Cllr. Flynn said, once complete, this greenway will be a valuable amenity connecting towns and boosting outdoor activity in the region.
