Help is available locally for those struggling with alcoholism over the
festive period.

John Smith, from Cuan Mhuire in Ballybay, says this time of year can be
particularly triggering for anyone in addiction as there is a huge focus on
celebration and partying.

He says that trends show more people relapse at Christmas because of
additional pressures, family gatherings, having extra money, and isolation.
