The total number of asylum seekers and refugees being accomadted in Cavan and Monaghan now stands at 1987.

42 per cent of hotels in Co Cavan are being used to accommodate asylum-seekers and refugees.

Over a third of hotels in Co Monaghan are being used to accommodate asylum seekers and refugees at 37% of hotels in the county.

482 international protection applicants are being accommodated in County Monaghan, as well as 264 Ukrainian refugees, in the county.

While in Cavan 128 international protection applicants are being accommodated, as well as 1,113 Ukrainian refugees being house in the county of Cavan.

It has also been confirmed that as of the 27th of March there was 20,304 people seeking international protection across the country, of which 4,200 are children.
