Chef Richard Corrigan recently hosted the second instalment of the Homegrown Festival at Virginia Park Lodge.
The event brought together top chefs, musicians and writers and artists from across Ireland, with big names such as Mary Coughlin in attendance.
Mr. Corrigan says the festival a way of promoting the beauty and talent of rural Ireland, particularly at the time of year it's held at, as October can be quiet in rural Ireland..

Richard Corrigan is currently undergoing treatment for cancer but says it doesn't stop him from getting on with the hospitality aspect of his life.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, he explained why he bought Virginia Park Lodge in 2014.
