An investigation has been launched after criminal damage to a council property in Belcoo on the Cavan-Fermanagh border.

Part of a fence at the Cotton Lawn field was damaged by a vehicle colliding with it.

A PSNI spokesperson says it's believed it was then driven onto the field and through another section of fence, before leaving the scene.

The incident happened on the Main Street through the village, part of the main road linking Blacklion in Cavan with Enniskillen.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
