Gardaí are continuing their appeal into the discovery of a body of a man in Co Monaghan on the 1st of November last.
Local Gardaí are still investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the 25 year old outside a hotel near Carrickmacross.
The 25-year-old was an asylum seeker from Nigeria who had just arrived at the M Hotel the week prior to his death.
He had previously stayed at a direct provision location in Portlaoise before arriving at the Monaghan hotel. The man’s body was found at the entrance of the hotel formerly known as Treacys Hotel, with suspicious injuries to his head. Gardaí confirmed to Northern Sound News that this investigation is ongoing.
