An OECD report published by UNICEF shows that young people in Ireland are some of the least satisfied with their lives in the EU, with physical and mental health major problem areas.
Caolan Faux the Director of Youth Work Ireland for Cavan an Monaghan says that social media is playing a huge role in the lives of children now, often creating body image issues, and damaging their well-being.
He has expressed concerns that funding could be lost for services in light of Covid-19 but highlighted the increased need for investment in order to prevent consequences for children in the future.
