The Government has confirmed it is making a joint bid along with the UK to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
In a joint statement issued last night, the football associations here, Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland welcomed backing from the UK government for the bid, describing it as an "incredible opportunity".
Junior Sport Minister Jack Chambers, says government will now focus on putting a plan together, with the bidding process due to open next year:
