It's the third such incident in five weeks.

The Irish language element of a road sign in south Armagh has been vandalised for the third time in five weeks.

PSNI says the most recent damage to the road sign in the Keady Road area of Newtownhamilton occurred on the 26th of November.

It’s the third incident reported to police in recent weeks in which the Irish text on the sign has been defaced and police say they are “treating each of these incidents as hate crimes”.

Police in the North are appealing to anyone with any information which could help identify those responsible to contact officers in Newtownhamilton.
