Jean Tighe's sister says lots of unanswered questions remain

Munterconnaght native Jean Tighe who has been missing in Portugal since July 2020.

Singer-songwriter and Belturbet resident Don Mescall performed at the National Missing Persons' Day commemoration that took place at Croke Park yesterday.

More than 600 Irish people or those with links to the country are currently reported missing around the world. One of the missing is Co Cavan woman Jean Tighe, her sister Leona spoke at the event yesterday

Munterconnaght native Jean Tighe who has been missing in Portugal since July 2020 has only been placed on a missing persons register five months ago in Portugal.

Jean Tighe went missing in Lisbon in July 2020 and speaking to Northern Sound previously, her family expressed their frustration by the lack of progress by Portuguese police investigating her disappearance up until now.

Jean's sister Leona says that they finally feel like they are getting somewhere but she says that's down to local TD Deputy Brendan Smith and persistent communications with the Portuguese authorities. She says there are still lots of unanswered questions that need to be answered.
