Citizens of Cavan and Monaghan who are of voting age are reminded that although the electoral register is now closed for the upcoming referendum they can still apply to be included in the appendix to the register. The so-called family and carers referendum takes place on Friday, the 8th of March.
The local councils in Cavan and Monaghan look after the voting registers for this region. You can apply before the closing date of February 20th online at checktheregister.ie or in person at all council buildings, local libraries and post offices. Applications for entry onto the postal voters list must be received before close of business today. For further information those who are eligible to vote are advised to contact Cavan or Monaghan County Council.
