A local county councillor has criticised the government's failure to bring RTÉ under the remit of the controller and auditor general.
Niamh McCooey was speaking in response to RTÉ making the news this week for controversy surrounding payments.
She said the latest controversy at the national broadcaster felt like déjà vu, referencing the previous payment scandals.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show during the week, Cllr McCooey called for transparency.
