A local engineering company has celebrated 75 years in business with the opening of a picnic area that's dedicated to the company's founders.

McAree Engineering, based in Ballinode, Co Monaghan, was founded by Vincie and Tessie McAree.

The new picnic area is at the entrance to the Quiglough Lake, a noted local fishing spot managed by Rossmore Coarse.
