A local Fianna Fáil TD says a new government funding scheme for businesses affected by Covid-19 will ensure as many businesses as possible can remain viable.
€60 million of funding is to be granted under the Covid-19 Business Aid Scheme for businesses that have been unable to access government funding to date.
While Niamh Smyth acknowledges this funding won't be a "magic wand", she hopes it will help keep jobs in the local economy.
