Several food producers in the Northern Sound region have scooped prizes at the recent Great Taste Awards.

Great Taste is organised by the Guild of Fine Food and is the world's largest, longest standing and most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.

More than 14,000 entries were blind judged by a panel of 500 industry professionals over 90 days at venues in England.

Meanwhile, Arthur Mallon Food also picked up a one-star award for its gluten-free chicken sausage.

In Co Cavan, Moo'd Ice Cream was awarded two-stars for its vanilla gelato, and one-star for its cookies and cream gelato.
