A local hotel has lost 400 bed night bookings since the Government’s restrictions last week.
Tony Walker from the Slieve Russell in Ballyconnell says that business meetings, corporate events, and family gathering have all been cancelled over the Christmas following the recent announcement.
He feels many organisations are afraid to be seen to host a Christmas party this year and this is a trend that hoteliers across the country are seeing.

He says there is too much mixed messaging which is creating more nervousness among the community:
