1,203 ESB customers are currently without power in the Drumbear area of Co Monaghan this morning due to blustery conditions. ESB says they are currently working to repair faults and will restore power as quickly as possible. Scoil Mhuire in Clontibret will remain closed this morning also due to a power outage. The local school is 'hopeful' that faults will be resolved by 10.30am, if so the school will open to pupils from 11am.
A status yellow wind warning for the entire country is now in place. Met Éireann is warning of very strong winds, which could lead to difficult driving and cycling conditions. Counties on the west are also being warned of potential wave overtopping. The warning is in place until 8 o clock this evening.
