Musicians from the region are attending today's demonstration.

A protest is taking place in Dublin this afternoon to highlight the difficulties the Irish music sector has faced during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Irish Music Industry Stands Up" has organised the protest to draw attention to "the plight of ordinary working musicians", who they say are "sinking".

The organisation is says it is "protesting to demand a clear and specific plan to return to work".
