A local principal says further clarity is needed for students and teachers regarding oral and practical exams.
Stephen Smith, the acting principal and guidance counsellor at St.Bricin’s College in Belturbet says that while yesterday’s announcement will bring some relief there are still questions to be answered.
He also says that the junior cert has become an unfortunate casualty of the pandemic yet again but that it appears that model is moving away towards formal exams anyway.

Mr.Smith says that guidance on the blended model and time-frames for course work should be given to staff and students quickly:
