A local manager for citizen's information has welcomed the Employment Contractual Retirement Ages Act 2025.
The legislation came into effect yesterday, and will make a difference to those facing retirement age.
Workers must notify their employer before their contracted retirement date if they do not want to retire.
Employers who refuse the request must provide an objective and reasonable justification under the new legislation.
