A local county councillor wants to see a fair, efficient and enforced migration system implemented.
Niamh McCooey was reacting to comments made by Simon Harris in which he said that the migration numbers are too high and the system is not built to deal with such large numbers.
He noted that immigration is a good thing in Ireland, but numbers are too high and the system is not built to deal with such large numbers.
He said one of the reasons for this is that there are too many people who come to this country and who are told they do not have a right to be here and it is taking too long for them to be removed from the country.
Monaghan County Councillor, Niamh McCooey spoke about the statement on the Joe Finnegan show today.
